Chris Kaflik has been a director in Broken Arrow since 2013 and currently serves as Assistant Director of Bands at Broken Arrow High School. Prior to his tenure at Broken Arrow, Mr. Kaflik served as an instructor at Carmel High School in Carmel, Indiana, and was Director of Bands and Orchestra at Northrop High School in Fort Wayne, Indiana. His concert and jazz ensembles consistently receive superior ratings and recognitions for outstanding performance.

Mr. Kaflik earned his Bachelor’s degree from Ball State University.

In addition to his work with concert and jazz ensembles, Mr. Kaflik is a much sought-after marching arts educator. He performed with the Blue Devils Drum and Bugle Corps from 2008-2010. Mr. Kaflik began his drum corps teaching in 2011 as a visual instructor for the Blue Stars Drum and Bugle Corps, and served as visual caption head for their 2013-2015 seasons. He currently serves as visual instructor for the Madison Scouts Drum and Bugle Corps and as a visual and brass instructor for the Colts Drum and Bugle Corps. He is the visual supervisor and a brass teacher at the Music for All Summer Symposium Marching Band Track and is a music, visual and design consultant for Dynamic Marching LLC. Mr. Kaflik is an active adjudicator and clinician.
