Pride Band Banquet Date – Save the Date!
The Pride Banquet will be held on Friday, MARCH 27 at the Tulsa Renaissance Hotel. Tickets will go on sale beginning February 10th at the next Band Parent Meeting. Ticket Prices and detailed information will be forthcoming.

Upcoming Pep Band Performances
Each of the HS Band Musicians will perform at designated basketball games. Report time is 5:45pm and the games typically finish at approximately 9:30pm

Colorguard Training / Auditions
The Broken Arrow Pride is holding training and auditions for Color Guard. There will be six training sessions each Friday beginning February 20th, from 5pm-8pm. Auditions will be held on April 10th and 11th . Cost is $30 payable on the first day. Training and auditions are open to all students grades 8-11. Students should arrive wearing black comfortable clothes suitable for dance. NO previous experience or training is necessary! VETERANS are required to attend training sessions.

We are looking for buisnesses interested in partnering with BA Bands. Corporate Partnerships are a great way to invest in the Broken Arrow Band Program. We have awesome sponsorship packages available with advertising opportunities. All monies collected through our Partnership Program benefit the General Fund. This fund helps purchase equipment, instruments, uniforms, etc., which benefits all of our kiddos!

Solo & Ensemble Entry
Any additional entries to compete in the OSSAA District Solo & Ensemble Contest must be received by your child’s band director. Each student in the HS Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band 1 are required to perform with the assigned Chamber Ensemble. Students wishing to perform a solo must have a piano accompanist and private lesson teacher or band director as their coach to enter this event. The competition is at Sapulpa HS on Saturday, March 7.

Jr. High All-District Auditions
Congratulations to all of the students that auditioned at the NBDA Jr. High All District Band Auditions!

School Board Presentation / Band Parent Meeting
A special presentation for Fine Arts patrons will be held on Thursday, January 15 at 6:00pm to inform voters about the upcoming School Bond Election. This presentation by our BAPS Administration will provide an interactive opportunity for our Band Parents to become informed about the Bond proposal, its projects, and the impacts it will have on our school district. We will hold our January Band Parent Meeting following this presentation at 7:00pm.

Jr. High All-District Auditions
Auditions for the Jr. High All-District Auditions will take place at Sand Springs’ Boyd Jr. High on Saturday, January 17.

BOND OVERVIEW WITH DR. MENDENHALL AND BAND PARENT MEETING
Please join us for a Bond 2015 Overview with Dr. Mendenhall on January 15th, at 6pm. Dr. Mendenhall will be presenting information regarding the proposed bond and will answer questions. All parents and supporters of Broken Arrow Fine Arts are encouraged to attend. Following this information we will hold the regular band parent meeting.

OMEA Convention and All State Band – January 22-24
Students that earned a coveted spot in the All OMEA Ensembles (Band, Jazz, and Orchestra) will meet at the downtown Hyatt Hotel on Wednesday evening (January 21). The All OMEA concerts will be held on Saturday at the Tulsa PAC (Band & Orchestra) and the Hyatt hotel (Jazz).

NBDA All-District Honor Bands
The NBDA All-District bands will rehearse and perform in Bartlesville on January 9-10. Students will meet at BAHS after 1st Period on Friday, January 9. Students will need to bring money for Lunch and Dinner on Friday and Lunch on Saturday. The students WILL return to BA on Friday evening after rehearsal and then report again to BAHS on Saturday morning to bus up to Bartlesville for Saturday’srehearsal and Concert. More detailed information will be provided on the student itinerary that will be sent home with the students on Tuesday.

Jr. High All-District Auditions
Auditions for the Jr. High All-District Auditions will take place at Sand Springs’ Boyd Jr. High on Saturday, January 17.

E-Jazz
E-Jazz Roster has been posted and can be found HERE, under the News section of brokenarrowpride.com. Our first rehearsal will be Wednesday, January 7th from 3:15-5:00pm in the BAHS Jazz Room.

We had a great two days of rehearsal this past weekend, learning the first 1:30 of the show! Rehearsals continue this week:
